About me

I offer an individualized approach in counseling my clients. I am collaborative, eclectic, and pragmatic in my approach using a client-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused framework. I will use the therapeutic methods that work best for you. I have been honored to share many people’s lives and experiences in my more than 30 years working in this field and have continued to be reminded of our ability to be resilient and grow through difficult and overwhelming circumstances. One of the many things I’ve had the privilege to learn in doing this work is that when we accept our experiences and learn from them, we can obtain clarity and value from all experience. I have worked with clients and families with diverse origins on a variety of concerns and many have shared that they find me to be warm, supportive and easy to talk to. Some of the techniques I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Rational Emotive Therapy (RET). I specialize in anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance use, and family/relationship issues. It would be my honor to share my training and experience with you in hope that our collaboration will help you experience a richer fuller life.
