DeAnna Christian, LISW
About me
Hello!!! My name is DeAnna Christian. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervisor designation. I have been independently licensed in the state of Ohio since 2004. I got into the social work field because I wanted to make a difference in a professional capacity. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including ADHD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, drug addiction, psychosis, and PTSD. I have been a foster parent and adopted children, I have had family members with mental health issues, and am a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) .
My counseling style is warm and genuine. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I treat you as a person not a diagnosis. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I will meet each client where they are at and tailor treatment to meet their needs.
It is not easy to reach out for help. It is not always easy to trust. I am here to support you and guide you.
I look forward to working with you!

So far our sessions have been helpful. I have not had therapy sessions before so I have no frame of reference, but I have learned a lot and I do have more tools to help with how I have been feeling.
