Debra Basham, BACP
About me
I've spent over twenty years building a successful and rewarding career in business. I was listed in Insider Business Magazine's Inaugural Women of Influence in 2015. I've won awards for the work I've done supporting, coaching and developing employees from all walks of life, including a European Call Centre Award. I've travelled the world, seizing opportunities to work in places such as America, India and Australia. I was recognised as an excellent mentor and coach, yet I always felt I had more to give. After several life changing events, I decided in a leap of faith to change my career and stepped off the corporate ladder to study at university for three years and become a qualified coach and counsellor, specialising in career and life coaching and person centred counselling. During my studies, I was also a mental health champion in a corporate setting, offering support and a listening ear to senior managers and directors as well as becoming a Cruise grief volunteer. I am a member of the Association of coaching, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Debra is a wonderful therapist. Her skills of communication are excellent. Her sessions feel like very 'safe' spaces, and she has an innate kindness that greatly complements her professional accolades.

Debra was wonderful in helping me navigate the work/life balance issues, and I do plan to continue working with her for a while. She's always very attentive, fast to respond, and very easy to talk to.

I couldn’t speak more highly of Deb. Her experience, guidance and technique is everything I could ask for. Deb’s experience in the corporate world prior to this gives her a perspective that really helps with career and leadership advice while understanding mental health and the challenges of the two. The way she hold a mirror to me and challenges my thinking all while giving practical advice and realistic coping techniques and resources is my favourite part of our session. Highly recommend Debra 10/10

Debra is one of the best therapists I have visited, and I have visited many, she listens and prods at the right times and doesn't push me too far for information. She waits until I am ready and then prods where necessary. Very kind and well-spoken and always knows the right thing to say.
