About me

I am licensed in Mississippi with more than 17 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, & parenting issues. I also have experience working with motivation, self esteem, and developing the practice of healthy boundaries. Boundaries define who we are and who we are not. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion while presenting Truth in love. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a healthy change. I practice holistic Christian based counseling. Most people do what they do because they believe what they believe. This is what the Word of God says - "As a man (or woman) thinketh in his (her) heart, so is he (she)." I am just a guide and my aim is to help you achieve your goals by setting them yourself after dealing with whatever issues or concerns you desire to discuss.
I received my bachelor degree (1984) in Religious Education from Mississippi College in Clinton MS and in 2005 I graduated from USM with my masters degree in Education with emphases on counseling.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Delissa Castleberry. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Delissa has been exactly who I needed to help me work through so much that had just piled up. She has been very validating, but at the same time gives tough love when I need it. I feel like I have progressed more in my seven months with her than I have previously with several years of therapy work. I cannot say enough good about her. I feel so much better for having had her guidance. She is the best and I hope she knows how much I truly appreciate her and all her help!

She has been exceptionally understanding and gives great practical counsel, which is direly needed on days when it is easy to get caught up in all the emotions.
It is especially helpful to have a therapist that shares the same beliefs in Christ's and thus gives Biblically based advice yet supported with sound literature about processing emotions and reframing/changing one's mindset, especially from her education and life experiences. I greatly appreciate such counsel during my sessions.

Delissa has been so helpful. She always reminds me GOD is ALWAYS by my side. Delissa has always been professional, kind & such a great inspiration to me to read Scripture & not be afraid to set boundaries on people in my life. She is always an inspiration to follow GOD'S word & for me THAT is a wonderful reason for me to keep her as my Therapist. I thank GOD for this wonderful knowledgeable lady.

Delissa Castleberry is a great therapist. I’ve never really been able to open up to anyone, but she has made me feel very comfortable and able to talk about many things. She also incorporates prayer and biblical readings into our sessions, I think that is great! I would definitely recommend her to everyone I know!!
