Derek helped me to work through my anxiety and create a framework that allowed me to leave my toxic workplace environment in a manner that wasn't impulsive or self destructive. He's a phenomenal listener, and really understood the traumas that I had experienced while simultaneously treating me with respect.

Derek Durst has let me get out my stress. I'm able to talk and go thoroughly through everything in my mind that is mentally slowing me down. I felt so heavy when I first started and now that I'm getting everything out, I feel so much better both physically and mentally. He's also provided me with worksheets and concrete tools to use in the future. I highly recommend Derek Durst!

I have only spoken to Derek Durst a few times, but I appreciate the fact that he is so personable and relatable. The little things he shares about his own family and experiences helps me because I can see that he's human just like the rest of us. It's definitely more comfortable feeling like I'm talking to a friend than a 'doctor'. I appreciate his kind approach, his compassion for my feelings, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing to talk to someone without feeling like they are being judged.

Derek is a great listener. He takes notice of our conversation and can really help cue in on the real problem of the day and through his guidance, my mind eventually finds a solution or recognizes the "real problem" then he provides me with reference or reading materials that help me understand. Thank you!

Really good counselor and provides detailed insights into how to handle issues. Only critique would be for the sessions to go quicker when it comes to getting to the main topic of the counseling session that the counselor would like to discuss.

Mr. Durst has been amazing during this time. My husbands passing was tragic and has been difficult to deal with. Mr. Durst has reached out between sessions and I feel like he really listens and understands. He gives great feed back and it is really helping. I am so thankful my cousin recommended BetterHelp, I recommended it to my sister in law as well. Mr. Durst has gone above and beyond. He has made therapy an easy transition from just reaching out to my circle of friends and family. I highly recommend him.

Written on Jan 27, 2020 after therapy with Derek for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, self esteem, and bipolar disorder
Derek took the time to listen to the issues I have been having and that is so important. Then we moved on to discussing how I truly feel, and even let me know that I may feel vulnerable at times. Now we are working on the therapy to help me get my feelings out instead of holding them inside for years on end.
I could not have asked for a more understanding counselor.
