I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have more than 30 years of experience. I was born and raised in upstate New York but have traveled and lived in many areas of the United States which has allowed me to learn about different cultures, world views and belief systems. I love working with people and supporting and assisting folks to create and live the life they choose. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, group homes, foster care, juvenile justice clients, dual diagnoses and mental health clients.
I believe that everyone deserves to live a life of contentment and self acceptance. To that end, therapy can be very helpful in removing roadblocks and resolving issues that keep us from moving ahead in our lives. I have experience with addressing addictions, LGBT issues, depression, Bi-polar Disorder, anger, self esteem, anxiety, grief and loss, family and relationship issues.
It is helpful to identify issues from the past that may effect how we function in the present, let go and/or create a way of being and looking at the world so that it supports our life journey.
I utilize cognitive behavior as well as reality therapy, teach the tools needed to reach goals, look for solutions and stay focused on the positive.

Diane listens to me without judgement and doesn't try to problem solve. She asks all the hard questions which forces my mind to remember and try to justify my logic which helps me piece the puzzle or realise where I went wrong.

She has helped not to be so hard on myself and see what I considered troubles through a different light. I have enjoyed my sessions with her and look forward to more.

Diane has pushed me to be more open and comfortable with myself. I have worked with a few therapists on my anxiety and depression over the past few years, but Diane helped me recognize the importance of implementing mental wellness tools in my everyday life, even when I think I’m doing well. This has helped me improve and kept me from falling into depressive episodes despite periods of sadness thanks to the consistency of my self-care. I really appreciate the work she’s done with me, and I think many of her words of advice will stick with me well into my future.

I’ve had a lot of therapy, and I’ve met a lot of therapists. It’s always great to have someone who truly listens and understands and genuinely cares about helping, and I feel that Diane excels on this respect. The value of thought provoking conversation towards healing and understanding is underestimated. I’m thankful for this experience, and the growth I’ve had as a result of our sessions.

Diane has just been absolutely wonderful to work with. She goes above and beyond to help me get my life together while supporting and advising me on how to better myself. I truly believe that I’ve found the perfect therapist through Pride Counseling; all the guess-work was taken out by allowing one to select exactly what they need help with while pairing you with a therapist that can meet those credentials and then some. Thank you so much Diane and Pride Counseling!

She offers a fresh perspective and I end the session feeling hopeful and motivated.
