About me

I have worked for 20+ years in the field of counseling. My experience is mainly focused on substance abuse issues, related trauma, and the mental health problems that often co-exist. I am a holistic provider, which means that I see the person wholly, mind, body, spirit, and seek to help clients experience themselves wholly. Problems do not occur in a vacuum. Without this holistic perspective, it is easy to focus on one thing, but neglect the core issue driving that "one thing." My approach is one of "partnering" with the client. Not leading, not following, but walking with you as you rediscover your true self, and then seek to find internal balance which leads to a more productive and fulfilled lifestyle. I consider it a great privilege when someone trusts me enough to share at the level necessary to effect life changes, and I believe that confidentiality is the bedrock of therapy.

Dolores has been a great counselor. It was hard for me to accept that telehealth was my best option for getting immediate access to mental health but she has made it east to talk to and challenges my thoughts and helps me to advocate for myself.
