Dora Williams, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I am currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I specialize in working with couples and individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career challenges, ADHD, and trauma. I have experience working in private practice, methadone and suboxone clinics, and psychiatric treatment facilities. My therapeutic approach includes solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I take a collaborative approach when working with my clients that focus on the client’s desired outcome of the counseling session then supports the client through the change process so clients can be empowered to build the sustainable change that allows them to reach their full potential.
I began my career as a relationship coach which sparked my passion for helping individuals and couples overcome the challenges that keep them from living out their life purpose and begin in healthy professional and personal relationships. From my experience as a counselor, I have learned the importance of taking a solution-focused perspective when dealing with past wounds that keep clients from becoming their best self. Using a non-judgmental approach, I collaborate with clients to cope with trauma, grieve hurts, and learn to have healthy relationships
In my free time, I can be found with my family, traveling, and trying new foods.

I've only had a couple of sessions with Dora, but I can confidently say that she has helped me and made me and my concerns feel heard. She's a great listener and actively checks in with me, and also helps me rephrase and rearrange my thoughts, and sheds light on my situations in a different perspective.

Dora is an excellent listener and asks great probing questions. I was only able to afford a few sessions, but they were extremely helpful!

Dora has already been tremendously helpful in our three sessions. She offers a non-judgmental ear for me to vent and try and sort through all of my issues. I’ve really enjoyed my time with her so far and look forward to more work with her.
