About me
There are many ups and downs that life brings, and we all need support in processing our emotions and experiences. I offer a highly individualized therapeutic approach, meeting my clients where they are in their mental health journey. I utilize empathetic listening and supportive communication to create a safe, welcoming space to discuss all topics, big and small. Therapy should be a judgment-free zone.
My approach to therapy is warm and empathetic. I emphasize building a trusting relationship with my clients in a non-judgmental environment. I trust that each client is an expert on themselves, and I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, as well as stress / burnout, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationships. Some modalities I use in treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy and mindfulness-based approaches.
My ultimate goal will be for you to leave each session feeling empowered in your life, confident, and feeling more at ease. We will work together to help you get back to the best version of yourself and be better prepared to face life’s challenges. I look forward to working with you!

Dorrie is amazing! In just 3-4 months I was able to work through so many problems from my romantic life to my life family to my work life. I was finally able to get past a problem I’d been dealing with for almost 3 years until I met her; of course you must be willing to do the work but she’s definitely there in your corner. She’s very accommodating to your schedule and what type of homework you are willing to do. I eventually found myself smiling through our sessions and in the end we acknowledged my growth and she told me how proud she was of me. 10/10 will recommend.

Dorrie is truly the best therapist I’ve ever had. She understood me and listened to me and I was really happy with her service. Thank you so much for everything.

It took me a while to find a therapist as great as Dorrie, who is able to provide real value and coach me through the big challenges I'm facing. I didn't just want a listening ear, I wanted someone who could help me find/develop solutions, which is exactly what Dorrie has been. In the past, I've had therapists who were okay, but I would peak at the clock and wonder "How am I going to fill the rest of our time today?" but with Dorrie, every minute flies by and our sessions are packed with quality conversations. I feel much less lost after each of our sessions!
