About me

I am a licensed mental health professional in California with over 10 years of experience working as a Psychotherapist and Marriage & Family counselor.
Born and educated in the UK, I bring a wealth of life experience from living and working in Europe before moving to the US.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Douglas Glen. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Douglas is a great listener and therapist. He really helped me with my mental health when I needed it and was helpful in keeping myself grounded, especially when times felt difficult. He gave me the tools to step outside myself and calm down when I was feeling really anxious or down.

Douglas is very kind and responsive and validating. I appreciate talking things through with him. Still getting to know one another, but this feels like a very productive relationship.

I have reccomended Douglas Glen and Better Help to several of my friends and family. He has been tremendous in reaching out and checking in with me. In times where I wanted to avoid situations and things that needed to be addressed, it is always reassuring to see someone make sure that I'm on the right track in life.
A great counselor and a great ear.

I just knew I wanted some help, but I didn't know what I needed help with. I had an array of issues, problems, concerns, and just had zero clues on how and where to start. Douglas guided me through my concerns, and most days, I feel like I just ramble on muttering a bunch of nothingness, yet he finds a way to make our session impactful, every time. I was skeptical of this online platform, but I'm building a therapeutic relationship with Douglas and am so grateful for him.

Working with Douglas has been amazing. From the first session, I felt listened to and respected, and through our sessions, I feel my life, and my outlook on life, has been improving drastically. He is a great counselor, and I very much recommend working with him.

Douglas is a wonderful counselor! Great listener, great support. He seems to be experienced in talking through different different past impacts affecting current issues and gives good suggestions. He’s also very proactive with sending “homework” worksheets to help you think through some topics/issues.
