I have been able to use my skills in different settings such as a mental health institution, an addiction treatment center, foster care and adoption agencies, and an adolescent group home. I am passionate about bringing hope and healing to individuals and families.

I am certified in Trust-Based Relational Intervention®, and I was a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor for 2 years. I utilize a client-centered and strengths based approach to therapy. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to include, cognitive-behavioral, psycho-educational, trauma-informed, attachment theory, mindfulness, and story engagement. I am fascinated and deeply moved by each individual’s story from beginning to end. I enjoy “connecting the dots” to how our past experiences affect our mental, emotional, physical, social and spiritual behaviors, both healthy and unhealthy. Everyone has a story, and I would love to assist you in telling yours.

Haven't had the chance to have many sessions but with the couple that I've had I've come to realize my emotional state. I look forward to exploring more of the insight she's willing to give me.

We're drilling deep into what matters the most after just a few sessions. Very productive.

I was never someone who thought therapy would be necessary. I’m high-achieving, happy, executive but my lifestyle doesn’t allow for a lot of friendships. For those that I have, I try not to spend our time hashing out work or personal stuff. I knew I wanted to talk to someone about my life but I had no idea how much I *needed* this time! For me, it was crucial to have someone that understood the life of a corporate executive, as well, as the personal stuff that life throws at all of us. I look forward to my time with Dru every week. For me, she’s part therapy and executive sounding board. We talk about whatever is on my mind that week—difficult employees, challenging family, health issues, you name it. She’s helped me through the diagnosis of a rare disease, the insanity of my career, and most importantly communication with my family. I’m so glad to have been matched with her from the beginning.

Dru is amazing! This was my first time trying therapy, and I was honestly very skeptical. After my first session with Dru, that hesitancy immediately went away! I appreciate how she makes me feel seen and heard! While I know she’s on my side, I also appreciate that she doesn’t hesitate to call out my wrongs as well. She’s not one sided and helps me look at situations from multiple perspectives while offering the necessary support. Since starting therapy with her, I am much more aware of my feelings, triggers, etc. and have learned ways to communicate more effectively. There is so much more I could say, but in all I just want to thank her for being awesome!
