Eddie Mcknight, NCPS
About me
Hi, I am licensed in the UK with 5 years of professional work experience which included some local charity involvement. For example, helping military veterans, vulnerable adults, ex-offenders and domestic abuse (female) clients. I also have experience as a crisis volunteer on the “Shout” platform (Mental Health Innovations) supporting people who have an immediate need for help. My approach throughout is person centred and therefore is truly non-judgemental.
Given my military background, family history and challenging lived experiences, I am also drawn to trauma therapy and recovery from adverse childhood experiences.
As a member of the Complex Trauma Institute I am able keep up to date with developments in the field that will be useful to my clients.
I have been happily involved in the “helping people business” for many years (HR, Training, Vocational Education and Personal Development) and draw on that experience to provide relevant and effective guidance and advice. Having left school, at age 15 with no qualifications I am well placed to be with my clients in their reality.
