About me

Living life is a journey that is sometimes wonderful and other times very difficult. By walking with you on your journey, helping you through these times when the way is tough, you do not have to face it alone. I'd like to help you!

I have worked in a variety of settings helping individuals and families experience emotional healing. I have assisted those struggling with a wide range of mood disorders, relationship problems, including trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical or emotional abuse or trauma and addictions. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral techniques which focuses on changing how we think in a way that changes our emotions and behaviors. For those specifically seeking Christian counseling, I offer experience seamlessly integrating faith into the healing process. I love what I do. I love to see others grow, heal, and thrive. I am passionate about it and I will give your concerns my very best. I am currently licensed in Texas and work exclusively with Texans seeking help and healing.

My active family consists of two grown adults, my son and daughter and two granddaughters and one grandson. On weekends you can find me somewhere outside enjoying nature, and my family. I have practiced counseling students and young children as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology in schools and as Licensed Professional Counselor, in Texas. I worked in schools assisting special needs students and students in crisis. as well as in private practice.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and positive psychology. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Taking steps towards change, and wellness are strongly encouraged. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you on your journey.

I look forward to meeting you!

I love how real Edith is. I have a more conservative way of seeing things and I’m glad Edith and I align in that manner vs new age therapists. Different strokes for different folks and Edith is my style.

Edith is one of the most attentive listeners I’ve ever encountered. She truly listens and is so perceptive and insightful. She remembers details about my life I’ve told her months prior, which makes me feel valued and heard. She has great insight into what is causing some of my distress and has been so instrumental my learning how to appropriately work through those things. She truly cares about her clients and brings such a helpful perspective to areas that don’t always seem clear to me. The time we spend together is used professionally and effectively to help me through my struggles. She honors my time with her by helping me stay on topic and succinctly assessing my concerns with pointed and clear responses. She brings so much order to my chaotic way of thinking and I often find myself thinking back to her words throughout the week.

Edith has been a perfect fit for my individual therapy needs. She skillfully listens and has a great deal of knowledge and resources in which she’s been able to provide throughout the last several months of working with her. She plays a very important part in helping me find peace during this terrible storm my mind has had to weather for far too long. I truly believe everyone should have an Edith in their life.
