About me

I create a supportive, therapeutic environment that enables you to work effectively with various issues, from anxiety and depression to work burnout and eating disorders, relationship issues and neurodiversity. Your therapeutic journey starts with self-observation to learn precisely where you are.
My practice is built on the therapeutic relationship. The clients who benefit most from therapy enjoy themselves in the room during the sessions with me. They begin to trust themselves since they once trusted me. They talk the truth to themselves since they heard the uncomfortable truth told with love by me.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Edyta Johnston. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Edyta is a fantastic listener and is skilled in getting the most out of the therapy sessions. She is compassionate but askes the challenging questions you need to see progress.

Edyta is extremely proffessional in her manner, yet manages to balance her proffesionalism with a genuine comapassion that can be felt in sessions with her. I have found Edyta to be very supprtive and understanding and I always feel heard and understood by her. Edyta has been helping me to understand my late adhd diagnosis as well as some other personal issues. In my experience, Edyta uses a variety of methods to skillfully find ways to help you overcome the issues that you bring to her. I admire how Edyta has not been afraid to take on more complex issues, like some more risk adverse therapists, I have met in the past. Edyta is very clear with you from the start on what to expect from the sessions with her and follows strict safety measures with you that go even above the platforms, which I believe shows her level of personal proffesionalism.
At the end of each session she makes sure to do a proper checkin with you, and sends work for you to go through, if you so desire that, she always makes sure that you are grounded and comfortable before winding the session down,. This is soemething I personally value in a therapist, especially when discussing emotive subjects. I feel that it is so important that your therapist has the abilty to help you leave the session feeling safe enough to reflect, on the work that you are doing together, yet still feel grounded enough to self manage till the next session. This has been hugely beneficial when tackling difficult topics and something I have not always had the good fortune to have experinced with other therapists in the past and was a concern when opting for online therapy, but with Edyta it is clear from the start of what and how to safely navigate such matters, so rest assured you will be in safe hands with Edyta. I would highly recommend her as a Therapsit, if you are on the spectrum or not as she will use her skillset to find what best works for you.

Dr. Johnston is extremely experienced professional in a great variety of fields but mainly the one that are of most concern to many. She listens carefully, is flexible, is able to jump across topics and follow the patient while at the same time offer gentle support and promote self-awareness. She is very clear on complex topic and able to convey expert topics to non-experts in a fully understanding way. She empowers patients to find their authentic self while offering unconditional support. Dr. Johnston is of great value to patients and I wish her all the best for the future as she is important to many.
