About me

Welcome! My name is Elizabeth and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in public mental health for 10 years in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: direct care, assessment and diagnosis, case management and therapy. I also volunteered with a non-profit doing art and community development from 2011 to 2015.

Originally from San Diego, I moved to Michigan in 2007 to complete my undergrad in Social Work and Fine Art. I moved to Indiana in 2015 and completed my masters in 2017.

My areas of specialty include but are not limited to: depression, anxiety, neuro atypical family systems support, relationship challenges, substance abuse and dependency, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, body image, chronic pain, somatic disorders, LGBTQ+ population, and intellectual, developmental, and learning disabilities support.

Therapy can be quite difficult, having a safe environment to talk about and process life's difficulties is so very important. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step I'm here to support and empower you. You can expect me to patiently walk with you through whatever difficulties you are facing and help you learn more about yourself, respect your uniqueness, and invest in your emotional well-being. I will hold space for you. I believe in the power of creativity to help us heal and grow and I am delighted to support you in being wildly self-expressed, joyful and connected to your deepest self.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I create pottery and watercolor paintings. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, fermenting kombucha and kimchi, tending to my succulents, and traveling.

I am excited to work with you to help you experience the greatest things that life has to offer you.

Let us work together to make it happen!

Thank you,
Elizabeth

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Elizabeth Brennan. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Elizabeth helped me immensely with feeling more comfortable in my own skin and is a fantastic guide to the world of transitioning. I'd highly recommend if you're having questions about gender identity and/or sexual orientation. Elizabeth has also taught me some solid skills to help mitigate depressive moods which have made day-to-day life more manageable.

Elizabeth is incredibly kind, caring, and thoughtful in her responses. I always felt heard and understood after our sessions, while also leaving them with a new perspective/learning. She has helped me immensely! I highly recommend her!

She has been so helpful and realistic too. I appreciate suggested ways to better myself that are not so complex and overwhelming.

Its close to a year since I began talking with Elizabeth and what a year has been, she has been the first therapist to help me figure out my mental disorders and finally take charge of them. She makes me feel validated and confident. She truly is an amazing therapist and person. She promotes a judgment free zone and is open to a variety of treatment options and solutions.
