About me
Hi! My name is Liz Meyer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Dakota. I have experience working with a wide range of individuals experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, personality disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I have specialized training and education to assist those who have experienced trauma and experiencing trauma related symptoms.
I attended the University of North Dakota where I graduated, and earned, a Minor in American Indian Studies, Minor in Chemical Dependency, Bachelor of Science in Social Work (B.S.S.W.), and Master of Social Work (M.S.W.). I am currently licensed in North Dakota as a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC).
My therapy approach is person-centered, strength-based, and trauma informed. I have been trained in the modalities of therapy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR); Brief cognitive-behavioral therapy for suicide prevention (BCBT-SP).
I am registered to attend training for Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) in April 2024.

She meets you where you’re at. She’s always pushing you towards goals and progress. But she doesn’t lose sight of where you currently are. I really like how she almost senses what you need, whether it’s to talk, or be talked to. Also she values your feelings without validating them.

Elizabeth is very kind and very good at listening. She comes up with ways to help me with my specific problems and that is very nice as they seem personal and not just generalized coping mechanisms I could read about anywhere.
