Elizabeth Stark, LMFT
About me
I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist and I have been providing psychotherapy for the last 20 years. I received my bachelor degree in Liberal Studies at Chapman University in 1996 and became a bilingual peer counselor at a counseling center for victims of Domestic Violence. Then in 2003 I acquired my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at National University . My experience includes individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy in various settings. I have worked with all ages and I have a lot of experience helping clients with different types of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges and many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I utilize many different types of models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing to name a few; however, regardless of what approach I use I am always warm, empathetic, collaborative and encouraging. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
