Prof. Elnora Harrison, LMHC
About me
I am a Licensed Psychotherapist in the state of New York, with 35+ years of professional experience in the Human Services, Behavioral, and Mental health fields.. My specializations are in the areas of Mental Health Counselling and Community Psychology. In addition, over the years, previous certification in alcohol and substance abuse counselling (CASAC), supported my work with diverse population group members, who used substances as a way to manage difficult emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, and past and current social determinants. Race-based and unhealed intergenerational/family trauma, along with Decolonization Therapy is a focus of my work as well. I believe in treating everyone with respect, cultural humility, and compassion. You and I together, will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
