Hello, my name is Emily Minear and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been working as a professional counselor for over 5 years now. Before I was a licensed counselor I also worked in a psychiatric hospital setting on adult and geriatric units. I have practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Emily is a rockstar and very easy to talk to, I really like the challenges that she sends, they feel really on topic with the things we talk about. She keeps a messages open for in between sessions if you need to get in touch with her. The sessions have been very light and enjoyable even when everything else feels heavy.

Emily is like the perfect therapist for me she, we seem to be a lot of like other than obviously she's a lot smarter than me and has a lot more knowledge. She is super kind and really awesome. I was worried about BetterHelp because I'm not super conversational and She can get me talking. I really like how she is super curious to learn about the interests of her patients. Emily is amazing. I’ve had a very rough couple of months dealing with a loved ones death because of their addiction, and Emily has been phenomenal in supporting me and helping me understand. She is thoughtful, kind, empathetic, and very relatable. Her sessions are always super helpful and it almost feels like I’m talking to a friend instead of a therapist or counselor. Emily has helped me pin point and clarify what I am thinking and feeling about issues in my life I was struggling with when I started therapy. She is very good at listening to me and giving me tips and tools to use when communicating with people in my life - family members, spouse, coworkers, etc. about those difficult topics. Even when she knows that I won't like what she has to say, she tells me anyway and pushes me to better myself and challenge my ideas and thinking patterns! I would highly recommend Emily as a therapist. She is kind, she is calm, she is understanding, and she can even make me laugh when I'm crying. She always seems to know what to say to help me navigate through my life without telling me what to do. She trusts me to make those decisions and supports me in my choices without judgement.
