Emily Sousa, LPC
About me
Many of us are taught to disregard the messages our bodies and emotions carry, initiating a distrusting and confusing relationship with ourselves and others. My work often focuses on giving you the tools and felt experience to release trauma from your nervous system, create inner safety, connect to agency, establish healthy boundaries, and re-connect to your intuition. Together we’ll work to (re)discover your relationship with your true inner voice. Through this connection and awareness, you can learn to trust yourself and navigate through life’s obstacles and challenges with flexibility and resilience.
Supporting the unique flare each person brings to life in sessions, I will focus on reflecting your inner experience with skill, curiosity, and compassion and will help shine a light on any shadows ready to be witnessed on the path to your authentic self. You and your experience will be honored every step of the way as we lean deeper into all of your parts.
Through the embodiment of experience and compassionate self-awareness we will embark on your healing journey to a place of self-love and self-acceptance. My approach is grounded in belief of your ability to become whole and purposeful; driven. I have witnessed the transformations that occur when embodying a heart-centered connection with clients.

By the few interactions that I've had with Emily so far I must say she seems like a great therapist and lovely person. When you talk to her it's like you're talking to an old friend and the vibe is always very chill.
I take her recommendations she gives to heart and some are so simple, yet so meaningful that you wonder why you yourself have never thought of them.
She is a lovely, respectful and compassionate person with a great understanding of the strife that people go through. I get the inkling that she can really put herself in someone's shoes and experience, to a point, what they went through which is a rare empathic gift indeed.
She is an amazing person in general.
