About me

There are so many reasons why people seek therapy, this could be due to relationship difficulties, a bereavement, suicidal thoughts, or general low mood. I understand that taking the first step can be hard, and finding the right counsellor for you is important.

Counselling is about exploring past, present, and future parts of ourselves, enabling us to understand our patterns of behaviours, our beliefs, and our deepest thoughts. I offer a confidential space to support clients to recognise their strengths and facilitate the changes they desire. Allowing the client a voice to be heard, and to feel accepted whilst exploring their thoughts and feelings.
I am an integrated counsellor who draws on techniques from different types of therapies to tailor an approach specifically for you. I would describe myself as a calm, friendly, and bubbly individual who believes that honesty, transparency, and authenticity is key within the therapeutic relationship.

I currently work with adults and young people and have experience working within schools, charities, and numerous organisations.

Emma is a fantastic therapist! When talking with her, I feel heard and seen, and she asks the tough questions that challenge me too which I really appreciate!

From the very first session Emma’s warm and friendly personality has made me feel very comfortable and safe, despite sharing my heaviest struggles with a complete stranger on a platform. To anyone doubting the effectiveness of online therapy, Emma is an amazing example of why it can be just as helpful and feel just as intimate as in-person therapy. I have never felt so deeply listened to or supported by a professional; every single session with Emma stirs the most useful discussions, provides the strongest groundwork for self-development, and is all-around one of the highlights of my weeks.

Emma is the best. It’s the first time I have opened up to someone and I feel so safe and secure. She understands me so well even when I sometimes can’t find the words to express myself.
