Emma Hardisty, BACP, NCPS
About me
I am a dedicated qualified therapist within the UK with 3 years of experience. I am passionate about providing a safe and non-judgemental space for individuals to explore their emotions and find healing. As an integrative holistic therapist, I believe that not one type of therapy fits all, therefore bringing in techniques from different modalities of therapy such as CBT, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Solution Focused, and expressive therapy. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with a compassionate understanding of each client’s unique journey. I am able to work with clients on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, work issues, relationship issues, health issues, stress, emotional abuse, bereavement, trauma, self-harm, OCD, PTSD, and many more.
My counselling approach is rooted in empathy, care, compassion, open communication, understanding, active listening, and personalized strategies to help you navigate and understand what has brought you to therapy. I am a member of the BACP and NCPS, and therefore work in-line with their ethical framework and code of conduct.
It can be a daunting experience deciding to take the step into counselling, therefore I aim to make the counselling space as comfortable as possible. As a therapist, I provide a safe and confidential space where clients can open up and together, we can explore the difficult feelings and emotions that may arise. I will walk alongside you with any issues that you are carrying, and together we will find the best solution that is right for you. I believe everyone has their own answers and I will help you find yours.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Emma Hardisty. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Doing therapy for the first time, I was nervous and quite stressed out about the whole process. Trying to be excited and optimistic but being vulnerable or just talking about myself felt like it was going to be difficult. But surprisingly I felt super comfortable and honestly like I was speaking to a friend who genuinely shows me a different perspective and is completely non judgmental.

Therapy with Emma feels like talking to a good friend. She asks spot on questions and still the sessions feel comfortable.
