About me

Hello my name is Erica Ashley and I have 16 years of counseling experience. I have had the opportunity to work with individuals who have had different concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, family issues, anger management, co-occurring and addiction. My counseling style is based on unconditional positive regard, which means that I always come from a strength- based perspective, where I focus on and individual strengths and empowerment. My clients will be treated with respect and genuine care, compassion and concern. We will work together to create goals and find solutions. I also consider myself to be a holistic counselor, which means I try to focus on the whole person (mind, body and spirit.) I will create goals and interventions that are client centered. I do realize that in a therapeutic relationship that it takes time to develop trust and rapport and I strive to create and assure clients that "it is a judgement free zone" and everyone is free to be themselves.
I applaud you for taking the first initial steps in order to pursue counseling and I hope you will allow me to assist you in your personal journey. I look forward to hearing from you!

She’s wonderful! Very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I usually dread therapy, but I enjoy our meetings and leave feeling much better about everything in general. She’s extremely positive and uplifting!

Erica is incredible! She knows what she’s talking about, she speaks from experience, and she is so kind! She both cheers me on and doesn’t let me stay where I’m at in things; asking thoughtful questions to help me figure out what’s going on. Erica is careful to not allow me to overwhelm myself with my goals for the week, and she encourages me to break down goals into smaller, more achievable action steps. This has helped me grow so much in the last several months since I’ve been meeting with Erica. I am so grateful for her biblical perspective on life and her wise counsel. Thank you, Better Help!
