I began working with families and youth in 2002 and enjoyed the work immensely. I love helping parents find creative ways to parent in todays changing society.
I then moved to working with adults in crisis in 2005 and continued working with individuals with serious disabling mental illness until 2010.
I began working with a wider variety of individuals helping individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, BiPolar, Couples, teens and children. I have continued working with this population for the last 10 years. Including working with individuals with mental health crisis.

I had a counselor outside the internet and I felt I wasn't able to see them frequently enough and I worried they weren't being as direct as I needed.. I had seen betterhelp ads for a long time and finally decided to go for it. The price was right and I figured I'd just cancel it if it wasn't good. Well a couple days in typing things in my profile Erika matched me. She is gentle and kind and supportive. She answers messages promptly and answers outside of appointment time when she can. Erika will give me worksheets to do and writings to reflect on. I like that these worksheets are targeted towards my specific needs or to figure out what my needs are and she doesn't assign long books she might suggest them though. I have had only 3 scheduled appointments and I feel like Erika listens, understands, and cares. I'm so thankful and appreciative.
