I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Tennessee with 10 years experience. I have worked with people with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress, ADHD, relationship problems, and sleep difficulties. I have also helped people with chronic pain or disability. I also work with couples to improve their intimacy and communication.
My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and aimed at empowering my clients to make positive changes in their lives. My approach combines motivational interviewing with cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused techniques to help individuals achieve their goals. I work with each client to write an individualized, mutually agreed upon treatment plan based on empirically supported techniques.
It takes tremendous strength and courage to ask for help with making positive changes. I'm honored to be a part of that process. I look forward to working with you!

Written on Jan 05, 2022 after therapy with Erin for 2 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, grief, and coping with life changes
Dr. Armour quickly picked up on the issues I presented to her in a very rushed and dismayed way while I was distressed and immediately knew exactly what to say to address them all and make it seem less hectic. I can trust her to respond to me in a timely manner and if she can’t she lets me know ahead of time. I am seeing her for emerging childhood trauma memories which has been extremely difficult and she has no problem with me needing a break from talking about it now and then. She encourages me to speak with my psychiatrist and other doctors when I have a concern beyond her scope. I very much feel I will succeed with her.

I just love Dr. Armour! She is funny, kind, respectful, and so very thoughtful. She listens so well and asks you some of the most thought provoking questions! Sometimes I think, “Oh mercy, I don’t want to dive that deep Doc!”, but each time it makes me see something totally different in a good way than how I was currently viewing the issue. I look forward to our time together each week and I am seeing a new me taking on life in a more balanced way just from being vulnerable to show up for me.

I’ve been working with Dr. Armour for months now and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. This is the first time I’ve tried therapy and she has truly helped me work through a lot. I love that some weeks are light conversation and others can go really deep - she ebbs and flows with what I’m feeling/needing at the time. Couldn’t recommend her more!
