About me

Hello from the Pine Tree State, I am located in beautiful, rural southern Maine. I have been a social worker for 20 years. The last ten of those I've been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Throughout my career I have worked in a wide variety of settings with individuals that include those from the systems of child welfare, education, health care, intellectual disabilities, mental health and substance abuse. I am a Christian, a retired Army veteran and a special needs mom. You can expect kindness, compassion and non judgmental listening when you work with me. I am honored to serve and work with individuals from all walks of life wherever they are at on that journey. I have a heart especially for working with young women who have a trauma background and are struggling to find their fit in the world by seeking to make a positive change in their lives. I don't believe in a one size fits all therapy. My approach is from a Systems Theory combined with Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Solution focused therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused Behavior Therapy. I draw from all of these models and my life experience to guide you through your goals and finding your optimal mental health.
