About me

Hello, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Floret and I am here to help you! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional, and a National Certified Counselor. I graduated with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2012. I am currently in Medical school pursuing my dream of becoming a Psychiatrist. This will allow me to gain the necessary technique and skills to better assist my clients. My past experiences involved working with individuals, couples, and families who suffered from trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, co-occurring diagnosis, and relationship distress in couples and families. I had the opportunity to work in a long-term residential facility, group home, short-term acute care, outpatient, and detox.

While working with you, I will act as a facilitator and help to guide you towards your future goals. I want you to have control of your life by creating your own achievable goals and working towards them. My counseling style is very eclectic. I pull different techniques from different counseling styles that best fit your individual needs. For example, Solution-focused brief therapy, humanistic approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing are some of the techniques I utilize. I pay attention to you and help facilitate a counseling relationship that is of trust, respect, and understanding. During this time, communication is going to be key, so where should we start?

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Floret Miller. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I have been meeting with Floret Miller for 3 years now. Her wisdom and care are unmatched. She keeps a very professional tone and demeanor, but she also is guiding and sensitive. She has pushed me outside my boundaries of what I thought, and has also given me a safe space to explore myself and be comfortable with who I am and what I believe. It’s a really delicate balance that she is able to do so well and has supported me so well. She has helped me grow in confidence, in discernment, in overcoming depressive thought patterns, and in making plans to overcome anxiety and create boundaries, all of which I needed to make some huge life changes these past few years: living in a city on my own where I didn’t know anyone, changing jobs, getting married, and now even changing careers. She has told me multiple times that “I did the work”, but I know that without Floret to help draw it out of me, I couldn’t have done all this on my own.

Floret is wonderfully attentive and knows what I need to hear to move in the right direction.

Floret is just so so kind. She is so easy to talk to and never makes me feel judged or embarrassed for anything I have to say. I love that she doesn't just immediately tell me things or point out my behaviors but makes me really think hard about it first to realize it on my own. In just 2ish short weeks, I already feel so much better and aware of myself and my emotions.

Floret is absolutely amazing. I’ve tried therapy many different times and have never stuck with it. She makes it comfortable and (politely/professionally) pushes me to hold myself accountable and grow. She’s stuck with me for a long time. :D
