She's helped me more than any other therapist/counselor with coming to terms with and reframing my bad habits. She recognized the shame I was internalizing that I didn't even realize I had and recognized that learning self-compassion would help me. She's able to see root causes of my struggles that I couldn't see by myself, and she pointed out how my need for instant gratification/a quick and easy fix was causing me to constantly give up an strategy as soon as it wasn't working as well as I wanted and how I'd never get to where I want to be that way. Overall, she's very insightful, and she's good at explaining things. With other therapists, when I expressed my feelings of discouragement, how I didn't see how it made sense to think I even could succeed given how many times I'd already failed, they'd try to be encouraging, but didn't give any useful insights into WHY I kept failing or what to do differently. Gabby did, and that's given me real hope again.

Easy to trust, provided useful prompts to look for solutions customized to you, and shared a lot of information that helped me with my relationship with ADHD.

In only a short amount of time in having her as a therapist, Gabrielle has already shown a willingness to shift and move as I need her to in order to feel personally affirmed and encouraged. It feels like she listens and responds in a way that pays respect to the individual and doesn’t have a list of pre-loaded responses regardless of who she’s speaking to. She’s been a big help so far.

I can only share my immediate impressions of Gabrielle as she and I have only met once, so far. She struck me as young, engaged, interested, approachable, non judgmental, modern in her thinking, and someone who is genuinely interested in engaging with me on my journey towards better mental health. She exceeded my expectations and has used the journal in a really helpful way too. This is a new approach to me, but I'm interested and want to continue : )
