Gemma Pattison, BACP
About me
Hello, I am Gemma. I am credentialed in the UK with over 7 years of professional work experience in a counselling role. I have lots of experience in helping clients of different age ranges from children and young people to adults with issues around stress and anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, family conflicts, bereavement & trauma and abuse to name a few. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths within yourself that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can be very difficult and take a lot of courage. It can be quite scary and uncomfortable, but you should be very proud of yourself for wanting to work through your thoughts and feelings. My therapeutic approach is predominantly person centered, which allows you as a client to work through your thoughts and feelings in a safe and non judgmental space, but I can also work integratively to enhance the therapeutic experience which include using different forms of therapy and tools. I am available to use video, telephone and chat to communicate and I also regularly and actively respond to messages. Really looking forward to meeting you!

Gemma is, simply put, absolutely wonderful. Her kindness and compassion radiates from her. I came to Gemma during a difficult time in my life, and she has always been there for me to provide a kind ear, helpful advice, and sometimes a much needed reality check. I always feel safe talking with her and am so lucky to have her through the ups and downs in life. She truly cares about her patients and wants to see us thrive. I'm very lucky to have found her and worked with her.
