Gloria Lyons, LCPC
About me
I am licensed in Maryland with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, Depression, lgbt-related issues, trauma and abuse, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I believe the client is the expert of their situation and work with the client to assist them in reaching their maximal potential. I also realize how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, support systems (family, friends, etc.), work or school environment, and faith/spirituality in this process.
My therapeutic approach is diverse, eclectic, and curtailed to the individual not a “one size fits all”. I believe in making a profound impact on the lives of individuals by giving them hope. I aim to explore all possible ways in which I can make a positive change. I work to provide adults, children, couples, and families with tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
