About me
I am a clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. I have worked in many settings and served on many boards, some of the settings include; private practice, hospital , hospice , home health, chronic pain and adoption . My experiences have been working with depression, anxiety, life changes, grief/loss, trauma, abuse , caregiver issues, loneliness,, and adjustment issues. I love working with people and have done so my entire life. Even as a teenager I worked at a therapeutic horsemanship program. People generally describe me as very intuitive , supportive, insightful,, caring and kind. Although I am also very logical and objective when appraising any situation and helping set goals.
I attended the University of Texas at Arlington where earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees in social work . I also have a educational background in biology and psycho-physiology. I am very eclectic in my therapeutic approach I tend to use a combination of Person Centered therapy with Cognitive Behavioral , Solution Focused and Rational Emotive therapeutic techniques.
I have lived in Colorado for over 20 years and enjoy being outdoors. I love hiking, camping, traveling, swimming, boating, gardening and animals. I am also a voracious reader.
I am so glad that you have decided to seek assistance in your life. This is such a big step. I can't wait to learn who you are and help you through this time in your life, whatever your circumstances.

Heather Raymo is a wonderful therapist! She helps you find your power and helps you stop being a victim! She shows you how to stop allowing people to keep using you! She gets you to learn to treat the young child in you the way she should have been loved and treated all along! Her knowledge on so many subjects is amazing, she is never forceful! She helps you see where to create boundaries and how to use them. I have learned to accept responsibility for my errors as well as letting those go once I apologize for them! I have learned and grown so much with her !!!

Better help has been an amazing resource for processing feelings, emotions, and events that have previously occurred in my life or that I'm going through now. To have Heather within reach whenever I need to process what's going on or get thoughts out of my head has been extremely beneficial.
Heather has been wonderful with learning about me where I come from and why I am who I am. She has been helping me process life as my advocate and not a judgmental or subjective third party.
