As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of Florida and a nationally credentialed Board Certified Art Therapist, I am committed to therapeutically assisting you generate solutions to enhance your life using unique and modern evidence-based practices.
I have over ten years of experience working with children and adults through individual and group sessions providing counseling in community-based as well as hospital settings. In the community I have provided in-school as well as in-home services; and in acute hospital settings I have provided both inpatient as well as outpatient psychiatric services. I believe incorporating the healing properties of mindfulness, yoga, and expressive art therapies is a natural progression for individuals interested in achieving a healthy mind, body, and soul; but also recognize some clients may prefer more traditional methods. While taking a holistic approach, I provide therapeutic services maintaining a positive and solution-focused outlook. I have experience assisting clients decrease symptoms and establish coping skills related to anxiety, communication, depression, impulse control, problem solving, self-esteem, substance abuse, and trauma; to name a few.
