About me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with many years working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, family, and couples-issues. I've used evidence-based interventions to treat adults and adolescents with eating disorders in a variety of levels of care including: inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization/day programs, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient level of care.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and strengths-based.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Irina Gelman. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Betterhelp and especially Dr. Gelman have been so helpful. Dr. Gelman right away was able to help direct what was wrong and most importantly helped me right away with what was a small recommendation/tool but was the most helpful I had been given in years. Dr. Gelman so easy to talk to and her quick responses to session messages was amazing. I really felt like she was there for 24/7.
