About me

Hi, I'm Jack,
I am credentialed in the UK with 10 years of professional work experience. I've come from being a British Army, Desert Rat, Front Line War Veteran to becoming a Person Centred counsellor with a BA (Hons) degree.
It's fair to say I'm not your stereotypical counsellor/Therapist, I'm straight talking and passionate about helping people with whatever issue they may be facing, I don't judge people and have had my own challenges to overcome, hence becoming a counsellor/therapist.
I've worked as a Counsellor and as a Support Worker for several charities/companies for several years and have a proven track record. I've had the honour to work with people of all backgrounds ranging from, War Veterans of all ages struggling with an array of issues to young people in the care system.
Whatever the issue, background, gender or age, I'm here for to listen, I'm here for YOU.

I have experience in helping clients with anger management, motivation, mental health, self esteem, and confidence and many other issues. I believe that you are the writer of your own story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started and I look forward to working with you.

Jack English is an AMAZING warrior who has passed his simple but affective coping strategies onto me. I’ve felt supported. Encouraged. Guided. Now I feel that I can handle whatever life throws at me as I now practice what Jack suggested and can use this formula in every area of my life. Jack has already in a short space of time made such a POWERFUL impact in my life so much so that I carry him with me everywhere I go. I ask what would Jack say or suggest I do? It’s a great resource and one I will return to time and again as it’s so helpful that it has opened up my life experience due to the subsequent positive changes I’ve made in my life after being blessed with hours of Jack English my perfect match. Thank you BetterHelp for putting this great therapist in my path and now there is nothing I’ll find as challenging as I did prior to meeting this awesome wonderment that is Jack English. Thank you for being you and all that you do. I appreciate you.

I have to say I made more progress in one session with Jack than 5 sessions of traditional therapy at my old therapists’ office.

Jack has really helped me through a tough time, providing clarity and perspective when I needed it most. He's straight-talking but with heaps of empathy and lived experience to go along with it. He provided useful tools, processes and things to think about outside of calls which I've practically adopted. I would definitely recommend Jack.
