Jackie is a great listener and communicator. There are times when I cannot explain something and she asks the right questions to get to the bottom of it. She responds throughout our time between sessions. Which is so important because I can be impulsive. Knowing she’s actively there is such a relief to my anxious brain. I love Jackie and have already referred her to family and friends. 10/10 recommend Jackie Burns!

Jackie Burns will have forever made a huge impact on my life. I went to her when I was in a really dark place. I was alone, moved somewhere where I didn’t know anyone, was heartbroken, and dealing with inner demons. she never failed to truly listen to me and take everything I said into consideration. She was patient with me as I would forget to respond or I would forget worksheets. She was always calm and helpful. She open my eyes to what I really needed. She helped me get to where I am today. I’m truly thankful for this experience and to have known this wonderful professional. She was always there when I needed and answered promptly. As I go forward, now stable and genuinely happy, I will always think of Jackie and her kind words. It is nice having someone in your corner when you feel like you’ve been pushed to the lions den. I don’t think I can describe the impact she’s made. I went from being incredibly depressed, anxious, alone, and tired to now being the happiest I’ve ever been and soon to be married.

Ms. Burns is a wonderful woman, in many more ways than one. She was there when I needed her and here even now she's a wonderful woman. I love having someone to open up to as much as I have opened to her, no judging no cold glares and best of all, your no fear of losing the people around you for something you don't have control over.
I'll admit, there are some things that I'm not ready to tell others and that's fine, we all have our secrets but that's hard when you only have yourself when you need answers or just a trusted hear to talk to when you need advice or even someone who can say, "Hey, I feel you, I know it's tough and your confused and scared, don't know how to feel about the way you are or why you can't seem to stop yourself from doing things that you know don't solve anything or even make it worst and just claim that as just your way of dealing with things," but with Ms. Burns, I never felt safer, no more open and vulnerable than happened time a few months back. I let the one thing I kept secret from everyone around slip, I just couldn't take it anymore and it came out, I was in such a raw state that I didn't know what to do, I was so confused with all the emotions I held in and controlled for so long just hushed out, I couldn't sleep, I thought I ruined everything but she help me see it wasn't my fault. I always blamed myself when things went wrong, and took the blame without a word to keep everyone in my home normal, it didn't matter if it as was the truth or not, they were happy, I just wanted to be happy, I thought it'd make me happy but It didn't and I lied to myself think it did. I loved my family more than myself, I never valued myself more than anything other than what I was and then lower over the years when my secret started to form and it hurt. When I found the courage to be open and truthful I got burned, worst and worst each time it happened as if I was just addicted to the pain I felt, next thing I knew I was numb and just when that path of least resistants, just keeping myself from being hurt, I kept myself average, I stayed numb for as long as I could. I really did, I'm still a bit numb but thanks to Ms. Burns I'm starting to feel again, to breathe again, you really live again.
I couldn't have asked for a better person than she and I can't thank her enough, she really is something special.
Thank you Ms. Burns, thank you for everything.

Jackie has really helped me through a lot of what I’ve been struggling with over the past few years. I don’t think I would be as hopeful or relaxed with my life as I am now if it had not been for the help I received through BetterHelp. My counselor really made me feel like I could get through my hard time and come out on top, and I still have my ups and downs, but having someone to sit with every week and talk about what’s going on with my life and put things into perspective saved me from myself. I have learned how to believe I am good enough and that what I am feeling I can change and overcome.

Jackie is an absolute gem. She’s really kindhearted and supportive, but also tries to help you see things from dissenting perspectives. She is great at provoking your mind to dig deeper, to really pinpoint where your problems stem from. All in all, she’s encouraging and relatable. I really enjoy talking with her, even though I’ve only really had two in-depth sessions with her one on one. So far, she’s been a great help.

Jackie Burns is THE best counselor I ever had... seriously, she is REALLY great!!!!! She has a lot of wisdom and will intertwine scripture in our sessions! I love that. She worked with me doing calls whenever I needed them. She reminded me of a lot of things that I already knew, but maybe wasn't putting into practice. God placed her to be MY counselor and so glad He did. The first counselor I was set up with had a schedule that didn't work well with mine. So glad that happened. I feel so close to Jackie that I almost want to call her "Mom". I hope to stay friends after our counseling is long over.
If we would please God all the time, we would please others!
