Beginning your healing journey is not easy as life experiences and changes can be difficult to navigate and can take you out of your comfort zone. I believe in providing an environment that is warm and nurturing to provide a safe space for you to work at your own pace. Jaclyn is the Therapist that stuck for me. She's been a life changing influence for me, and I could not recommend her more highly. Her style is very laid back, but exceptionally professional. She is always presenting me with new skills, new perspectives on things troubling me for extended periods, and she is compassionate and patient with her teaching style.

This was my first time trying therapy and was really nervous. Jaclyn almost immediately made me feel comfortable enough to share things I find hard to talk to anyone about. Very flexible and also consistent with her messages which helps me as a reminder to take care of me.

I feel extremely fortunate to have Jaclyn as my therapist. I’m still pretty new to this, but so far we’ve had one webcam session and lots of back and forth messaging.
I did not really have anything super specific in mind when I started with Jaclyn, I just wanted to see if she could help me be a better version of myself.
The conversations we’ve had are easy. She asks thought provoking questions and guides the conversation without me feeling like I have to decide what to talk about.
Most importantly, she listens like a friend, and seems genuinely interested in my life.

I am extremely grateful for insight into my mental health and her concerns for my overall well being. We've been able to identify some very big things in our few sessions while finding resources to help figure them out. Our personalities mesh very well too so I don't feel I have to filter my thoughts or emotions to truly convey my journey with her. Highly highly recommend.

I've always loved to help people but struggled with the fact that maybe I needed more help for myself than a journal or a book could provide. I finally took the leap and signed up for therapy with betterhelp. I was already hesitant but a bit desperate for a change. The first therapist I had just didn't feel right, which sometimes happens. I had a gut feeling about Jaclyn Powell. After about 15 min of talking to her, I felt validated, seen, heard, understood. I can be a bit rough around the edges but highly emotional and she didn't miss a beat. She listens, is able to challenge me but still is able to acknowledge and validate the progress even if I don't think it's big, she helps me to shift perspective and see the win.
She also is very good at encouraging me to be myself in all that entails. When I start to talk about things that may not be her direct area of expertise, she finds a way to support me with it.
