About me

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read more about me. I am a therapist licensed in the UK with over 14 years' professional working experience in the field of mental health. My therapy style is warm, respectful, non-judgmental and compassionate. I am very supportive, available and very much in your camp! My approach is Person-Centred psychotherapy which believes that given the right core conditions and support, you have the power to make the necessary changes to lead a more balanced and fulfilled life. If we work together, I would tailor our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I have experience supporting adults of all ages in a wealth of areas such as stress, anxiety, overthinking, relationship issues, motivation, self esteem, confidence, depression, LGBTQi, coping with a significant life change, feeling stuck, grief and loss and much, much more. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Together we would work to overcome those challenges.

Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilled and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process every step of the way. How counselling works? We would build a trusted, working relationship, where you feel safe enough to open up about your thoughts and feelings. We then work together to prioritize your worries and work in a solution focused manner so you can see your progress and also where you might be a bit stuck. With my help we can look at any unhelpful patterns of behaviour and set about to make positive changes. The counselling journey is just that, a journey and you may move backwards and forwards over the weeks until you reach your destination! This is perfectly normal and I'll be here to help you.

For your information, in general my practice hours are 7am-7pm Monday to Thursday (earlier finish on Friday). I don't generally work weekends, but if you need a session, please reach out and I would do my best to accommodate you. If you send me any messages outside of our sessions I tend to check my messages once in the morning and once in the afternoon (sometimes more) and respond accordingly. You can also book a 45 minute live phone, video or chat session with me ahead of time - all you would need to do is visit my schedule and select and date and time to suit you. It's a good idea at first to get into the routine of having a session at least once a week if you can (for the first four weeks then we can review).

Please note that this site is not geared up for or appropriate if you are in crisis or in immediate need of help. In a crisis situation, I urge you to please get the help you need by contacting your local emergency services.

If you are ready to take the next step and feel I might be the therapist for you, then I very much look forward to working with you. If I've not addressed anything that you would like answers to, please feel free to message me.

Warm regards
Jacqueline

Dr. Jacqueline really listens and understands exactly the things I have a difficult time processing alone. She provides tools that are beneficial to my overall growth. I was completely apprehensive about starting this process but she has made me feel completely comfortable and welcomed.

Jacqueline is the first therapist I’ve had that’s treated me like a person, not a problem or puzzle to figure out. She’s been consistently supportive and also challenged some views I’ve had that were unhealthy, which previous therapists never have. She has a lovely manner and it’s easy to let your guard down around her and tell her the worst bits about your issues, even ones you’re ashamed of. I would definitely recommend her to a friend as she has helped me immensely.

Jaqueline has such a calm aura to her that is easy to share and divulge into any topic without any fear of judgment. She has a way of making you hear and understand yourself easily. I would recommend therapy with Jacqueline to anyone and everyone who asks.

Jacqueline has been a great help. She is very kind and compassionate, while also being reassuring and finding the right words to put me back on my path. Jacqueline is a great listener and remembers the smallest details of what is said to better guide you through. She provided a space for me to talk freely and without judgement when my mind was all over the place, and was always very calm and understanding. I would recommend vividly, especially if it is your first time in therapy.

I was nervous when I first joined and Jacqueline was super understanding and reassuring that she was in my corner and there for me. Once I got on the call with her it was like a breath of fresh air and I felt so at ease and heard. She's full of insights and opened my eyes to things I couldn't see in myself but knew.
