Jacqueline Tasca, LCSW
About me
First, let me say I'm here for you. You've taken the first steps toward dealing with the issues that are giving you difficulty and I know this is not easy. So, good for you. My name is Jacqueline Tasca. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from New York. I received my masters in social work from Adelphi University. I've worked as a social work director for a number of years previously but I stopped because I really preferred more face to face time with my patients. I got so much more from my time counseling than being in a management position. Over my 21 years as a social worker, I've come across many people with many issues and truly have enjoyed all of my experiences as they helped form the person I am, the therapist I am. Much of my experience is working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, parenting, couples counseling, coping with change, stress management, cancer and chronic illness counseling, palliative care counseling, caregiver support and community resource and referral.
People always tell me that I'm a good listener. This is my greatest accomplishment and one I'm most proud of because as your therapist I want to HEAR you. I want to join you in your pain or difficulties and help you find your way through them. I may not have experienced what you have specifically gone through or are facing now, but I know how to find my way in to how you are feeling. Building a therapeutic rapport with you will be my first step. Trust needs to build and then most of my work is generally solution focused and cognitive-behavioral techniques. You will see that I am a caring, non-judgmental person. I would love the chance to help see you through your challenges. You've taken the first step!

Jackie is a very seasoned counselor. I love working with her. She is so alert to my moods and offers fantastic suggestions for making changes she is compassionate and I can feel that she really cares about my well being. I'm so happy to have her as my counselor. She is thoughtful, caring, and very professional, but at the same time she adds a little humor which makes her so real and likeable. I'm so happy to have made this connection and thankful to Better Help. I've improved tremendously since I'm talking to her. Thanks

I really enjoy working with Jaqueline. She is genuinely engaged in our conversations and follows up on action items from the previous week. I’ve been with Jackie for about 6-8 months now and I really enjoy it and feel like the flexibility makes it really easy to complete sessions.
