James Beller, LMHC
About me
I have a master's degree from the University of Central Florida, in the field of Counselor Education. I have been licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida since 2001. I have worked a combination of private practice, agency work as well as with the public school system. I am married, I have three children and one grandson. My foundation is that of a Person Centered Counselor, and important aspects of this include the use of empathy, unconditional positive regard and warmth. I also rely heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I apply a lot of reason in the counseling process and I believe that a good therapist doesn't work any harder than the clients that they are trying to help. I am a trained hypnotherapist and I find that this can be very helpful in working with individuals who have a past trauma that they continue to struggle with. I find that a career as a counselor is a very fulfilling occupation and I truly enjoy helping individual's find a healthier path with their life.

In James Beller you will find a caring and easy to talk with therapist. He is a great listener with a way of helping you talk through what is happening in your life. If you are a Christian, he understands that you have a different perspective on life and respects that view. where you are a Christian or not, I would recommend you give him a try.

James is a fantastic therapist. I had the pleasure of having two sessions with him, and both were the best I've had in years. He was professional, on-time, confident, and listened to me patiently. He is straightforward, no-nonsense, and knows exactly what he is doing. He helped outline a treatment plan for me and answered every question and thought I had without judgment. I loved each session and would highly recommend him to anyone.
