James Pelzer, LMHC
About me
If you are reading this-thank you for considering me.
I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2017 after entering the therapy field as a Naval Drug and Alcohol Counselor in 2000.
I have worked with clients in a variety of settings over that timespan to include community mental health, private practice, group, family and individual venues.
I have worked with clients with many concerns including anger control, substance abuse and related issues, marital, parenting, depression/anxiety, and others.
My approach is primarily client centered, cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that we all are able to reach reasonable and realistic goals when it comes to coping with the challenges that life presents.
I hope that you discover a supportive partner on your journey to your best self.

James is intuitive and responsive. He asks thought-provoking questions and keeps me focus on subject. My sessions are diverse and interactive based on my needs.
It seems I am making progress in my sessions.
