Hi. My name is Rob Phillips. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have been in the field of counseling for over twenty years since my first short internship during my undergraduate work. I am skilled and knowledgeable in several counseling theories and modalities so I try to mold my approach to fit my client. I have experience working with crisis intervention, residential mental health, substance abuse, active duty military and children in Foster care. I received my Masters degree in counseling in 2009, and was licensed in the state of Florida in 2014. James has been an exceptional sounding point for me and helped pull me out of a difficult place following narcissistic abuse and working through challenges caused as a result of family custody issues and relationships. James was always reassuring and asked me questions that enabled me opportunity to reflect on my own beliefs and identify and justify my feelings. I first commenced therapy with James where my anxiety levels were heightened and having sleeping difficulties and finished my therapy after around 6 months feeling back on top pf the world into my sports and no longer allowing the dealings with my children’s father to impact me to the extent they previous had. I highly recommend James as a therapist. He actively listens and asks you questions where you can walk away reflecting more on the potential causes which he’ll to then notice patterns or feelings. I looked forward to seeing James weekly, he’s also very funny and restored my opinions of men. The session times were perfect around my family responsibilities. I found choosing a therapist on a totally different time zone to be exceptionally helpful and through this app enabled me to access help when I had previously been unable to due to my parenting and work commitments. James was always right across our previous discussions at every session which always impressed me considering how busy he is. Thanks for getting me on track again James.

Rob (James Phillips) is a great therapist. I have had several therapists in the past and none of them have even come close to the amount of useful solution-oriented therapy that I've received working with Rob. In my experience, he is easy to talk to, polite and thoughtful, and takes a genuine interest in his patients. A couple of weeks ago I finally decided to take the step and join betterhelp to start therapy. I am so happy I made this decision, just talking about what goes on inside of me has helped me deal with my anxiety. James has been great about introducing me to therapy. I honestly can't thank James enough. James is an incredible cunselor and has been a life-saver.
