I experienced a traumatic loss and I was struggling to process what had happened and how to control my emotions and move forward. Jamie helped me by first, acknowledging that what I was experiencing was not only common, but valid. Secondly, Jamie helped me to realize that while I can't control many things around me, I can control how I respond and I've now learned techniques to determine whether my response will be appropriate or not. While I still struggle with grief and it will never go away, I'm much better equipped to deal with situations as they arise and I can confidently do things that seemed impossible after the sudden death of my partner.

While Jamie works through Chat only, she makes sure to make herself very visible and available if in the event you need to connect. I was skeptical at first whether this would be feasible, but now coming into my second session, and having passed a national holiday week, I can confidently say that the chat sessions and check in support works. the frequency helps me keep in mind my learnings from the previous week, and helps maintain items I want to talk about. I am grateful to Jamie for making herself visible and accessible even just by messaging.

Jamie has been wonderful to work with! The chat sessions have been incredibly helpful, and somehow Jamie knows exactly what to ask, or what to say. The worksheets that Jamie provides are also a beneficial way to keep progress happening in between the chat sessions. I feel Jamie was able to help me with the topics and struggles that I brought to the table. I would recommend Jamie to those who are looking for a compassionate therapist.

Jamie sent me what I thought to be a boilerplate introduction at the end of which saying she is incapable of doing video sessions. I have no interest in texting with a therapist. Please specify to us, those in need, the types of interactions available with each therapist. Had I known she was only available via text, I never would have connected with her.

I've been working with Jamie for almost a year now and appreciate her kindness, motivational messages, and her overall therapeutic techniques. She takes many different avenues and uses a vast amount of resources to explain complex concepts that involve emotions such as CBT. She also actively tries to make this online format as differential as possible by switching between live chats, video messages, and voice recordings. I appreciate her and have been positively impacted by doing therapy with her!

Jamie Finkelstein has been wonderful to have on my smartphone. She gets back to you in a timely manner, many times within 30 minutes - 1 hour, and she addresses all of your concerns when she does so. I usually use this time to talk about family conflicts and life struggles (as those are my primary concerns right now). I also schedule 45 minute weekly meetings with Jamie and those have been extremely helpful. Jamie Finkelstein is a great therapist. She supports you and listens to you, takes it all in, and then shares her wisdom and techniques for getting out on the other side of whatever is happening in your life.
