Greetings!! I am grateful to be sharing this moment with you! My name is Jamie and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Georgia with over 14 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I have experience in the mental health field and have worked in a variety of settings including in-home therapy, community mental health, long distance counseling, inpatient hospital based therapeutic services, group therapy, collegiate counseling services and some school visits. I have experience working with a broad range of clinical issues including anxiety and depression, trauma recovery, anger management, self- esteem, major life changes and family/relationship issues.
I know that it takes a lot of courage to make the step in reaching out for help so I want you to know that my goal is to work hand in hand with you to achieve your goals and build the necessary skills to help navigate through life. My approach to counseling is warm and inviting and I will offer support as we navigate through difficult topics. I am a firm believer that we already possess the tools inside to change our life but that sometimes we just need a little assistance tapping into them. That is where I come into play! It is no accident or coincidence that you are here today and we are connected.
My clinical hours are typically 9-5 Mon-Thurs. I look forward to the possibility of working with you as you take the next step towards achieving your goals!

Written on Apr 08, 2022 after therapy with Jamie for 2 years on issues concerning stress, anxiety, family conflicts, self esteem, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, and adhd
Jamie is great because, especially in the beginning, I was really nervous but she is a very vibrant and talkative person that she easily got me into a conversation and would ask me questions to have me elaborate. Starting off with just messaging was nice and now we do voice calls, which I am comfortable with because i can also be cleaning up or folding laundry while I talk. Sometimes she seems to get off the topic of what I want to talk about, but in the end, I realize that it was probably a better route and helped me a bit more than just talking about my smaller stressors (which we still talk about). She really emphasized doing things for yourself and taking care of yourself. This is good because I get so caught up thinking about others and helping others that when it comes to me, I would (and still sometimes) get overwhelmed and unsure of how to help myself best at that time.
