I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and I'm licensed as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts. I have a very friendly, laid-back personality and am always eager to help and use a lot of humor in my general approach; however, I am also very comfortable working through serious and difficult subjects in a calm, supportive way. I'm a very happy, positive person and can always find a silver lining in almost any situation!
I’ve been in the human services field since 2011, and my experience is very diverse. I have a lot of experience with substance abuse, depressive and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and ADHD. Additionally, I have experience with domestic violence, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), foster care regulations, and the Massachusetts legal system. My therapeutic approach pulls from several different types of therapy, and though I'm mostly based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I'm also able to utilize different approaches and techniques as needed. I am very open and welcoming to feedback, as well as flexible, so I always encourage people to share what they want and need while we're working together so that I have a chance to help or adjust accordingly. I’ve also worked with clients of all ages from all kinds of ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds. Once we build a positive relationship with open and honest communication, I am confident I can help and support you in reaching your goals!
If you're not familiar with counseling, a great way to think of it is having a warm, welcoming place to discuss any thought or problem you've been dealing with without having to worry about judgment, pressure, being misunderstood, or not being heard. I will always work at your pace, so you'll never feel rushed, and we'll always focus on whatever issue you feel is most important at that moment. Remember, you know yourself better than anyone else ever could, so I will never assume that I know what's best. I also welcome any feedback you might have for me on how I can better help you. My job is to listen, support, and provide you with the tools to be able to manage your feelings, your life, and help you accomplish the things you hope to achieve!

Ms. Sullivan has been an incredible resource during my time with her. She is non-judgmental and is direct about acknowledging the sources of issues while keeping things light during our sessions. The advice and insight she provided me has been very useful and I appreciate having a professional like her to work through issues.

Jamie isn’t a therapist, well she is-but she doesn’t make it feel like I am talking to a therapist. She talks to me with support, compassion & care . She has helped me to overcome and open doors to growth. She really is one of a kind therapist & I am so lucky to have her there .

Jamie is the most relatable therapist I’ve ever had, which is really saying something, as I am someone who has cycled through over a dozen therapists in the past 15 years. She always makes me feel heard and is great at choosing the right supportive voice in context. I highly recommend Jamie for anyone struggling with ADHD. I didn’t get my ADHD diagnosis until I was 30, and I’m so glad I found Jamie to help me understand and manage it.
I can’t recommend the BetterHealth platform enough. I know it’s an investment that not everyone can afford, but if you can swing it with the sliding scale and cut back somewhere else…trust me, it’s worth it.

She really makes it feel like i’m talking to a friend, not in an inappropriate or unprofessional way, simply meaning she is very welcoming and accepting and friendly. I changed counselors because i didn’t feel connected so after being matched with jamie i was unsure how it would go and i was pleasantly surprised. She always comes in positively and takes the time to listen and respond thoroughly to every concern and feeling i share with her which i deeply appreciate. I’ve told my friends about her and they love her too without having met or spoken to her!

Jamie has a warm personality, even through the chat. It can be difficult to find a therapist you feel comfortable being open with, and Jamie has a way of making it really feel like a safe space. Sometimes connection with a therapist just feels lacking and there is no comfort level, but Jamie definitely provides this in her responses. She seems very knowledgeable about various treatments for issues that someone could be dealing with. This is comforting to have someone that is interested in helping you find what works for YOU rather than pushing an opinion. I am grateful for betterhelp connecting us and looking forward to the doing the personal work she will help guide me on

Jamie has been.. a dream. We started our journey together a few months ago and have since paused due to my work schedule. She checked in on me even though I wasn’t responsive; I’m back with her now and can’t wait to share the journey I’ve endured since our time apart. Super thankful for her infectious energy, her light, her wisdom and how great she is at being unobtrusive yet impactful.
