Jasmine Austin, LPC
About me
I am a licensed professional counselor with a mental health service provider designation in Tennessee. I have 5 years of experience with working with mental health and addiction. I also am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have experience with working with clients with complex traumas. I have worked with clients struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment and grief.
My counseling style is warm and curious. I believe when we feel seen and heard, and our struggles are normalized, we can begin to do our true inner work and find peace. I have worked in the addictions population and wholeheartedly believe in meeting my clients with compassion and understanding their story. I use somatic experiencing to help clients reconnect in their bodies and find safety within themselves. I also incorporate mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy, but truly consider myself an eclectic therapist as each client has their own unique needs and not one style of counseling will fit all.
I always commend my clients for having the courage to do this work and make this time for themselves. The call for change and discomfort is a hard one to answer and I am honored with those who allow me on their journey. I look forward to working with you

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jasmine Austin. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Jasmine is thoughtful and supportive while also offering constructive pushback. She manages to weave in academic examples as well as examples from pop culture to help illustrate ideas discussed in sessions, which I find extremely helpful. She's also mindful of doling out advice without literally telling you what to do, which has been essential during a mixed-up time for me.

I have never felt connected to a therapist or looked forward to therapy sessions previously. Jasmine's approach is exactly what I have been after for years and I am so glad better help paired me with her! Mind/body and somatic work are a couple of things that she uses and I truly feel like what we are working on is helping me. I can't wait for my session next week!
