About me

I has been counseling individuals and couples since July 2007 while serving as a pastor and spiritual leader. My desire to help people led to me completing my MA in counseling from Midwestern Baptist Seminary and have been working as a professional counselor since August 2018. I recently completed my doctorate in professional counseling from Mississippi College in August 2021.

My approach to counseling is holistic in nature and I believe in counseling the “whole” individual (thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and social considerations). I use an integrative design of various counseling theories that utilizes a broad array of both evidence-based and protocol-driven interventions which has shown positive outcomes for individuals experiencing mental health struggles as well as substance abuse clients.

I love working with all my clients and have experience with children, adolescents, adults, as well as veterans dealing with trauma. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to become the best version of yourself!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Jason Reasor. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr Reason (Jason :-) is very knowledgeable about ptsd and and neurobiology of mammals and he was able to not only listen effectively and with compassion, but recommend some things like bilateral stimulation music that helped me get myself right when I was suffering. Highly recommend time with Jason. I have my issues and I have to be able to function at a high level for practical reasons, and he gave me the help I need to keep moving forward.

He always manages to reassure me, even when I’m really down and unsure of myself. He gives great advice and always responds quickly. I appreciate his wisdom and patience. He is a caring, intelligent man, and I trust his opinions and knowledge very much.

Working with Jason was such an important experience for me. He was understanding, easy to talk too, and offered valuable perspective that helped me better work with and manage my emotions.

To echo another review, I had concerns initially due to his background and my being non-religious. I was completely wrong though and had a fantastic time working with Jason! He offered a lot of neuroscience, which I loved, and practical ways to work through problems and emotions. Cannot recommend him more!
