Jeanie Dunlap, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Texas with 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, addiction, mood disorders, career challenges, low relationship problems, self-esteem, anger control issues, impulsive behavior, self-harming behavior, chronic suicidal ideations, trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
I am currently accepting clients M-F at 8pm and Saturday between 1 and 5 pm.
My experience is varied and across many fields as I have worked in multiple agencies with vastly different populations. I have worked with children and families through the state and through federal programs. I have worked in inpatient mental health assisting patients in crisis management of chronic or acute mental health conditions. I also have experience at inpatient rehabilitation settings dealing with addiction and recovery. Throughout my career I have assisted clients and patients from a variety of walks of life, from children aged 4 and up, to adults, families, homeless populations, military professionals, police officers, first responders, nurses, doctors and other counselors who have had a crisis or a life changing situation.
My therapy style is empathetic and solution focused with my primary therapy models being CBT, ACT and Mindfulness. I believe all people deserve respect and compassion and I do not believe in treating people differently based on labels, stigmas or diagnosis. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes strength to seek for a more fulfilling and joyful life and courage to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you along your journey.
I look forward to working with you!

I worried I wasn't going to find a therapist that I like and gets me, but I sure did! She is exactly what I need. She is caring and thoughtful, easy to talk to, and really takes the time to listen to my concerns.
