Jennifer Chebro, LCSW
About me
Does society or other people treat you badly because of who you are or what you experience? Are you experiencing depression, anxiety, or trauma symptoms? I can help you. Together we will work toward decreasing your depression or anxiety or trauma symptoms. IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT! You didn’t ask for your challenges and you don’t have to put yourself down or think badly about yourself. We can work together to increase your self-esteem, to help you learn healthy coping skills and assertive communication skills that will allow you to get your needs met in a healthy way.
I know asking for help can be difficult and scary. But you deserve to live your best life and to do that, many people choose to seek out professional help—you are not alone. Working with me will be a huge step toward you reclaiming your life. We will first identify what YOU want to change and then determine what your goals are. At first you may experience doubt that you can make the changes you want to make but I assure you, I will be with you each step of the way until you are able to respond to life’s stressors rather than react to them.
In my professional role I have worked with individuals (adults and children) from all walks of life, from different backgrounds and nationalities, different socioeconomic levels, and take pride in being able to offer counseling for depression, anxiety, domestic violence victims, trauma victims, and relationship issues. I offer telehealth counseling sessions and am a certified telehealth counselor. That means we can work together without you even needing to leave the comfort and safety of your home and still achieve the results you desire!
I am a LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) and graduated from University of Connecticut School of Social Work. I had a method concentration in Mental health and substance abuse. I can say that regardless of what you are experiencing, I can help. Look forward to our journey of healing together!
