About me

I am a licensed mental health practitioner in Nebraska with 10+ years experience as a psychotherapist and coach. I work with individuals, couples, families, and work teams in a wide range of areas such as anxiety, depression, mindfulness, grief, life stage change, relationship issues, conflict resolution, and critical incident debriefing, among others.

My approach combines solution-focused therapy with cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and mindfulness to provide an accepting and supportive relationship toward the vision each person I serve desires.

I am privileged to be able to work with you on the areas in your life you want to address or make changes in. Counseling is a process and may take a few sessions or many sessions. I am committed to helping you on your journey to finding the solution that works for you.

Although counseling sometimes takes longer if the issues are complex, many times a short solution-focused approach is appropriate. At the beginning of the session, I will gather information to help assess the issues and the order of importance to you. If you have any questions about any part of the process, Please don’t hesitate to ask. I serve in a warm and interactive way. We will talk about the issues and there may be exercises given to help you move forward in the journey.

It is my responsibility to use ethical therapy practices which are designed to help you work toward your goals. It is your responsibility to be an active part of the process. I will work with you to visualize your goals and emphasize the strengths toward success. I believe that creating a plan unique to you is part of this process. I approach counseling with the belief that although life can bring about events or issues that are stressful, even traumatic, our response is important and can empower us to live to our desired vision. Learning how to respond in healthy ways to the stresses in life can help to navigate through the hard times. Intentional and purposeful living is important to fully living the life you love to live: mind, body, heart, and soul.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with you!

Jennifer is tremendous. I would not be feeling anywhere close to how I feel today without her!

She has been the easiest person for me personally to open up to! She is extremely kind and very open minded. She will listen and remember what you have shared with her which is extremely important to not feel irrelevant and just as “another client”

I couldn’t have got a better therapist!
