Jennifer Ladd, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, in the state of Tennessee with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and mental health diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, motivational issues, trauma, childhood trauma, codependency, ADHD, somatic symptoms, and much more. I have received specialized training in the treatment of PTSD utilizing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have provided counseling services in both individual and group therapy context.
My counseling style is warm, conversational, and interactive. I utilize both my clinical listening skills and my intuitive nature to listen deeply enough to hear the "why" and deeper feelings that lay hidden behind the symptoms or concerns you present. I believe in treating my clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Although I do believe that mental health diagnosis is helpful and meaningful, I also seek to help my clients understand and celebrate their own unique strengths and weaknesses, personality traits, and preferences. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, rational-emotive counseling, and experiential therapy techniques. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage and strength to seek support in the midst of life's challenges and valleys. I feel honored to support you as you search for a more fulfilling and happier life. I hope you will find a safe place to process and explore your inner world, and support as you take steps towards the solutions that will bring you greater peace and joy.
I look forward to working with you!

Jennifer is amazing. She listens to my rambling concerns and challenges and offers really great insight to help me reframe and better understand issues I’m dealing with. She makes me feel seen and heard. I don’t always show up to calls with her with an agenda but she makes herself available to listen to anything I bring up. And not only that, she engages in a meaningful way and teaches me many skills I can take to all my life relationships. My personal growth has been immeasurable since seeing Jennifer, and how I see myself in the world has shifted for the better. Cannot recommend her enough!

My time with Jennifer has been transformational. I had been in therapy a few times, but very briefly, and right from our first few sessions so much shifted for me. Even my friends commented that "therapy was definitely working" for me because I have been able to show up differently for myself and in the world.
